A long time ago, I was listening to a podcast with Merlin Mann and he suggested that any time you start a new journal you should write "the first page is profound" on the first page. It's a good way to knock off the jitters, since you already know you've written something profound.
I have a handful of things in the pipeline, but they're bigger projects than I anticipated and I kind of put the cart before the horse.
If you have somehow stumbled across this before that time...
