Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
I'm raising money for St. Jude.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
As a father, it is impossible for me to imagine what it must be like to have a child with cancer. We were very blessed that our children were born without terminal illness of any sort. At no point did we ever have to worry about how we would handle such devastating news and everything that comes along with it.
As an American, I know that any kind of terminal illness carries with it a price tag. Every visit, test, treatment, phone call, email, everything costs the family money throughout the illness. Websites like GoFundMe solely exist to bridge the gap between what the average American can afford and what the health care industry will take in the process.
In steps places like St. Jude's Children Research Hospital.
A place that treats children with terminal illnesses with no cost to the families. A place that spends their time and resources researching treatments and finding ways to cure cancer and other terminal illnesses. A place that shares their research freely with other hospitals in the US and abroad to help further treatments and make them more accessible to children all over the world.
There's a podcast company called Relay that is the source of many of the podcasts I listen to. Every year they spend September raising money for St. Jude's. They also make it possible to run your own campaign and raise money for the cause through your own means and incentives.

My goal this year is to raise $250. I was able to do this in 2023 and I would like to do it again.
If you have a couple of dollars, please consider donating it.
